Ooh La La! Vast majority of Frenchmen show growing dislike for maahslimes - How can they be so insensitive?

Ooh La La! Vast majority of Frenchmen show growing dislike for Muslims

Almost three French people in four (73%) say that they have a negative image of Islam, while other religions enjoy the approval of a clear majority, according to a poll published this week.

People hold a banner reading: 'islamic fascism shall not pass" during a demonstration in Paris, Saturday Nov.10, 2012. France is home to Western Europe's largest population of Muslims, estimated to be at least 5 million
People hold a banner reading: ‘islamic fascism shall not pass” during a demonstration in Paris recently. Hundreds of Frenchmen demonstrated in Paris against Islamism, chanting the French anthem and saying  Islam has no place in France, which is home to Western Europe’s largest population of Muslims, estimated to be at least 5 million

Islam vs Europe  Questioned by the agency Tilder and the Institut Montaigne, in the context of the program “Place aux idées” broadcast on Tuesday evening on LCP, 87% of French people have a positive image of Buddhism, 76% of Protestantism, 69% of Catholicism, 64% of Judaism, but only 26% of Islam, 1% not expressing an opinion.

Although for 52%, Islam is a religion like the others and for 40%, the presence of Islam in France allows French culture to be enriched, only 36% consider the practice os Islam to be compatible with the laws of the Republic.

In an effort to keep France French, France has banned burqas, made Muslim street prayer illegal, and is trying to ban Muslim mothers in headbags from attending school activities with their children.

Little by little, it is the people, not the politicians who will demand the banning or marginalization of all things Islam that conflict with their secular society.  Unlike England, there are no sharia courts in France.

Destroying a WW2 British Cemetery in Libya 041913 1201

You don't even need to hear these vandals to know that the desecration is driven by religious fanaticism, i.e. Islamism. I suppose the next video will show them taking down the cross with C4--it appears to be resistant to sledge hammers. If you listen to the sound track, they take particular pleasure in destroying the grave markers of the Jewish soldiers ("Ivri," "Israli"). There's one closeup of a jewish headstone being pulled down.

Even Qaddafi protected that British cemetery--Jews, Christians & all--just as Mubarak protected the Christians and Jews of Egypt, and their churches and synagogues. Thank you, Mr. Obama for bringing us yet another episode of Islamist Progress.

Unfortunately, such hatred is too common. The Greeks vandalized and/or destroyed all the mosques, Muslim cemeteries and other Turkish symbols after the Greeks won their independence. And the Greeks vandalized and destroyed Jewish communities wholesale, killed Jews, burned the Torah scrolls, expropriated their homes, and used their tombstones for latrines because the Turks had protected the Jewish communities, many of which dated back to the time of Solomon and others were established after the expulsion from Spain and their welcome by the Sultan. Likewise, the Turks used some churches as stables and barracks, and the grander--like Agia Sofia in Istanbul and al-Aqsa in Jerusalem--they converted to mosques.

But the destructive fervor is strongest in the Islamists. When the Jordanians captured the Old City of Jerusalem, they dynamited the Jewish quarter, reducing it to rubble, including one of the oldest synagogues in the world. The Waqf is today using bulldozers on the Temple Mount to erase all evidence that it was ever Jewish. The Taliban has dynamited the giant Afghan Buddhas. Hamas just bulldozed a 3,000-year-old-+ port in Gaza to build a terrorist training camp.

On the other hand, in our country we have the ACLU systematically destroying public religious expression, mostly Christian.

God help us.
k

p.s. There are in Jerusalem a number of Muslim cemeteries, some Arab and some Ottoman. They are on prime real estate in the business district and residential neighborhoods. All are neglected by Muslims, but protected by the Israeli government. The municipality of Jerusalem has offered to relocate the cemeteries with all due Muslim religious propriety, but the Waqf won't permit the "sacred" ground to be disturbed. However, during the British occupation, the Grand Mufti had no problem building himself a grand hotel over the graves in a large cemetery without bothering to relocate them, and a wide road right through the cemetery. The structure stood abandoned after 1948 until about three years ago. The Waldorf Astoria is now building a new hotel on the site--they saved the elegant facade and many of the other architectural features. Attached are pics I took of the old cemetery and the Mufti's hotel being reconstructed. k

Palestinian Family loses property ownership case in Israeli court

The Shepherd Hotel before the demolitions

Israel's Supreme Court ruled on Monday that a prominent Palestinian family could not claim ownership of a landmark and now derelict building in East Jerusalem.

The Husseini family said the Shepherd Hotel, now partially demolished, is a symbol of the Palestinian rights to their land and to East Jerusalem, and strongly criticized the court ruling.

The Shepherd Hotel was built in the 1930s and served as the home of Jerusalem grand mufti Haj Amin Husseini.

It was declared "absentee property" by Israel after it was captured and annexed to East Jerusalem in 1967. The title was transferred to an Israeli firm, which sold it in 1985 to Irving Moskowitz, a Florida businessman and patron of Jewish settlers.

The "absentee property" law has been enforced by Israel since 1948 which allowed the Israeli authorities to confiscate land and property of Palestinians who were prohibited to return to their land and property after 1948.

Israel's Supreme Court ruled Monday that the prominent Husseini family could not claim ownership of a landmark and now derelict building in eastern Jerusalem.
The Shepherd Hotel was built in the 1930s and served as the home of notoriously anti-Semitic and Nazi supporter, the Jerusalem grand mufti Haj Amin Husseini.
It was declared "absentee property" by Israel after eastern Jerusalem was liberated from Jordanian occupation by Israel in 1967.
The title was then transferred to an Israeli firm, which sold it in 1985 to Irving Moskowitz, a Florida businessman and patron of Jewish land-rights in Israel.
In 2009, Israel's Jerusalem city hall approved a project to replace the building with a block of 20 apartments. Monday's ruling paves the way for the project to proceed.
The Supreme Court said too much time had passed since Israeli authorities had transferred the property to private developers for a legal challenge to be brought.
Mona Husseini, heir to the property and Husseini's granddaughter, criticized the ruling saying "This property, which is legitimately ours, represents the Palestinians' rights to their land and to Jerusalem."

Israelis not welcome to derelict Jerusalem hotel

Large Medium Small
Israelis not welcome to derelict Jerusalem hotel
It's a toxic piece of real estate with a checkered history, in a flashpoint district of a turbulent city -- hardly a realtor's dream.
The derelict Shepherd Hotel in Jerusalem was built in the 1930s for Muslim grand mufti Haj Amin Husseini, who fought the British and Zionists and became a World War Two ally of Hitler.
"Arabs, rise as one man and fight for your sacred rights. Kill the Jews wherever you find them," he is quoted as saying in one Nazi radio broadcast. "This pleases God, history, and religion. This saves your honor. God is with you."
The mufti fled to Lebanon in 1937 and after Israel was created in 1948 his house was used as a British Army outpost. It was confiscated when Israel captured East Jerusalem from Jordan in 1967 and apparently used by Israeli justice authorities.
Plain-fronted, flat-roofed and unattractive, it was sold -- illegally say Palestinians -- to an Israeli company, and rented to a family who opened an hotel, but went bankrupt in the 1980s.
The complex was bought up by an American-Jewish entrepreneur in 1985 and rented out for 15 years to Israeli border police.
This week it became the latest thorn in the flesh of inflamed relations between Israel and the United States, because Israel has approved plans to develop a block of apartments on the site for Jews, whom the Palestinians say will swell the ranks of settlers in occupied Jerusalem land.
The hotel lies in Jerusalem's predominantly Arab Sheikh Jarrah district, where Palestinian families have been evicted and their houses ceded to Jews, creating tension in a neighborhood that now sees frequent anti-settler protests and police patrols.
ROOM FOR 500
Noting plans for 100 homes, a synagogue, a kindergarten and a children's park, Palestinian negotiator Saeb Erakat said it would be a "new settlement (for) up to 500 new settlers," and further step in "Israel's attempt to forcibly end any Palestinian presence in East Jerusalem."
Washington, already at loggerheads with Israel over its plans for continuing expansion in disputed Jerusalem suburbs, said it was seeking clarification of the scheme.
Israel denies any plot to "Judaise" the city it claims as its eternal and indivisible capital, as witnessed by the Bible and history. It accepts no limits on where Jews may build, although Mayor Nir Barkat was persuaded by the government this month to freeze demolition of "illegal" Palestinian homes.
Israel's claim is not recognized internationally. Big powers see East Jerusalem as future capital of a Palestinian state, if the Palestinians and Israel make peace. Its settlements in the West Bank and East Jerusalem are also considered illegitimate.
But Israel does not accept these judgments.
"Israeli construction policy in Jerusalem has remained the same for 42 years and isn't changing," said a statement from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's office on Friday.
Interior Minister Eli Yishai told the ultra-Orthodox newspaper Yom Leyom this week: "I thank the Lord that I have been given the privilege to be the minister who approves the construction of thousands of housing units in Jerusalem."
The hotel sits among pines in a scruffy 1.5 acres of sunny hillside near Western consulates, including the British.
Adnan al-Husseini, the Palestinian governor of Jerusalem who has no actual power of the city, said the grand mufti never lived in the place but rented it out to Palestinian families, one of whom had it enlarged.
The building was declared "absentee property" by Israel after it occupied East Jerusalem. Title was transferred to an Israeli company, which sold it in 1985 to Irving Moskowitz, a Florida bingo king and patron of Jewish settlers.
"Israel is not being asked to make any concessions," says Erekat. "Rolling back the occupation, ending illegal settlement construction, and adhering to international law and existing agreements are not concessions."

A final cigarette... then the hangman's noose: Three men put to death in Kuwaiti car park in country's first execution in six years

  • Three men convicted of murder hanged today in the Gulf Arab state
  • One from Saudi Arabia, one from Pakistan and one without a nationality
  • Last execution was a drug trafficker in 2007 but 72 have been killed since '64

Blindfolded, his hands bound, a condemned prisoner puffs desperately on a final cigarette.
Just a few minutes later he and two others are led up a short flight of stairs, nooses are placed around their necks before a trapdoor opens beneath their feet. This is justice Kuwait-style.
The Gulf-Arab state hanged three convicted murderers today, the first executions to take place there since 2007, state news agency KUNA reported.

They had been found guilty in three separate murder cases. Authorities had invited journalists from Kuwaiti publications to witness the executions.
The last recorded case of the death penalty being carried out in Kuwait was six years ago when a Pakistani man was executed for drug trafficking, according to Amnesty International.

Kuwait, which has a population of around three and a half million people, operates a judicial system which is a mixture of Islamic Sharia law, English common law, and the Ottoman civil code.
The state carried out 72 executions (69 men and three women) between April 1964 and May 2007.
Crimes that carry the death sentence include drug trafficking, murder and treason. Sentences are not carried out publically however members of the media act as witnesses and pictures are published in the hope it will act as a deterrent
KUNA said 48 people remain on death row in Kuwait.

Police: Son Fatally Shoots Dad During Easter Service, Yells Killing Was ‘Will Of Allah’

ASHTABULA, Ohio (AP) — Witnesses say the 25-year-old man accused of walking into an Ohio church and fatally shooting his father after an Easter service Sunday was yelling about God and Allah after the killing.
Police say Reshad Riddle walked into the Hiawatha Church of God in Christ in Ashtabula and killed his father, 52-year-old Richard Riddle, with a single shot from a handgun Sunday afternoon.
Associate Pastor Sean Adams told The (Ashtabula) Star Beacon newspaper that worshippers started screaming, ducking down and calling 911 on cellphones after the shooting.

Adams said Reshad Riddle then continued into the church, still holding the gun, and yelled that the killing was “the will of Allah. This is the will of God.”
“”It was terrifying,” Adams told the newspaper. “The children were screaming and people were dialing 911. We were afraid to breathe.”
Reshad Riddle was quickly subdued by officers, who arrived just moments after the shooting. They say he has been mostly cooperative.
The Plain Dealer newspaper in Cleveland reported that another church pastor said congregants were leaving when they heard a gunshot.

“People pushed me into a back office and said, ‘Somebody’s here with a gun,’” said the Rev. David Howard Jr. “The guy was outside hollering and acting crazy.”
County Coroner Pamela Lancaster said Richard Riddle’s wound was “immediately fatal.”
Ashtabula Police Chief Robert Stell said the younger Riddle offered no motive for the shooting.

Court records
show Reshad Riddle has an extensive criminal record.“Witnesses at the scene said the shooter entered church and made some references to Allah, but we are not sure if that was a motive or if there was a family problem,” Stell said. “There is no indication that the father and son had a bad relationship. Everyone thinks this was very surprising.”
Ashtabula County Common Pleas Court records show he was arrested and charged with two counts of felonious assault, kidnapping, abduction and tampering with evidence in 2006.
Records show that in 2007, Reshad Riddle was charged with felonious assault, and in 2009 he was charged with possession of drugs, tampering with evidence and possession of cocaine.
According to police reports, one of the felonious assault charges stemmed from an incident when Reshad Riddle allegedly attempted to cut his girlfriend’s throat. Capt. Joseph Cellitti said the young woman’s neck had been cut with a knife and she suffered bruising on her side and chest.
Church parishioners said Reshad Riddle was a member of the church as a child, but did not attend services regularly as an adult.
“No one would have thought twice about him being here with his family on Easter,” Adams said. “His family (has) been members here for years and years.”

British Cadbury on the EASTER bandwagon

http://www.washingtontimes.com/news/2013/mar/28/cadbury-muslims-our-candy-sharia-compliant/print/#

Cadbury to Muslims: Our candy is sharia-compliant

  • As Cadbury ramps up its inventory for Easter, a little-known fact has come to light about its candies — many are sharia-compliant.
According to the Sydney Morning Herald, halal certification has become a big business as sharia law continues to extend throughout Australian culture.

Cadbury's halal certification includes 71 products which are halal, ranging from Cadbury mini eggs to Caramello Koalas to Red Tulip chocolates. The website also states: ''We do not have any kosher-certified products.''

''Cadbury also pay for halal certification on the Easter product range, even though Easter is a Christian celebration and nothing to do with Islam,'' says Kirralie Smith, who runs a website called Halal Choices, The Herald reports.

According to The Herald, "The essence of halal is that any food is forbidden to Muslims if it includes blood, pork, alcohol, the flesh of carnivores or carrion, or comes from an animal which has not been slaughtered in the correct manner, which includes having its throat slit."
